Popular Canadian author Janette Oke's book “When Calls The Heart”, comes to the musical stage at the Blue Gate Theater. Nothing in her cultured East Coast upbringing prepared Elizabeth for a teaching position on the Canadian frontier. Yet, despite the constant hardships, she loves the children in her care. Determined to do the best job she can & fighting to survive the harsh land, Elizabeth is surprised to find her heart softening towards a certain member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. While in Shipshewana, we will take a guided tour of the area with a step-on guide. We will also step into a world where past innovations fuel the imagination of generations to come. A vibrant exploration of genius in all its forms at the Henry Ford Museum, one of America’s top museums. Included is Greenfield Village, where over 80 acres brim with resourcefulness & ingenuity. 300 years of American perseverance serve as a living reminder that anything is possible. Step foot in the lab where Thomas Edison had his lightbulb moment or the workshop where the Wright brothers taught us to reach for the sky or take a ride in a real Model T.
